FREE Eyre Limited, the Eyre Peninsula farmer owned rural investment company, has today announced the launch of a rural scholarship for an Eyre Peninsula student studying an agricultural related degree with the University of Adelaide.

“As a company, we work with our farmer shareholders, clients and partners to investigate and co-invest in the development of new businesses and value adding rural enterprises.  We are passionate supporters of the EPARF and the Peter Waite Foundation but the also believe that investing in the higher education of Eyre Peninsula’s students is critical for the future prosperity of the region” said FREE Eyre CEO, Mark Rodda.

 

The new scholarship will be awarded to an Eyre Peninsula student who is studying an agricultural science or business related course and will be administered the University of Adelaide.

FREE Eyre and seven of its key business partners will come together to launch the Scholarship and fundraising effort at FREE Eyre’s Hutt Street office to coincide with the Clipsal 500 Race.
Sixty Eyre Peninsula farmers will join FREE Eyre and its event partners to raise funds for the Scholarship over the two day event.
